Reflections from Bitkom Digital Health Conference 2025
A fantastic mix of forward-looking content, outstanding speakers and meaningful networking. Across many sessions, there was a sense of hope that digital transformation in healthcare is gaining momentum, paired with a clear call to be courageous, experiment more and “just do it”. At the same time, critical voices highlighted the challenging (funding) environment for young innovative companies in the German health sector.
We are proud that our principal Karen Piontek represented our company as moderator of two insightful panel discussions:
Session 1: “Ensuring care digitally: Remote monitoring and remote care in focus” with Tobias Leipold, Michaela Schröder, Maximilian Wambach & Prof. Dr. Julia Welzel
Key take aways:
Remote care will be essential to address upcoming healthcare system challenges.
The market is seeing a growing number of value-adding remote-care solutions proving their impact.
Progress requires courage from all stakeholders to test and integrate innovative approaches into care delivery.
Session 2: “From infrastructure and data to decisions: AI in healthcare” with Andreas Henrich, Tobias Weishäupl & Reiner Feinen
Key take aways:
AI holds enormous potential for better decision-making in healthcare.
Successful deployment of AI is complex and must be a strategic priority to unlock real value.
A big thank you to Bitkom and Dr. Verena Benz for the invitation and the opportunity to contribute to this important dialogue.
