Our Story

1
2014
The roots of Flying Health lie in bringing innovations to the healthcare market. The founders celebrated their first success with the team of the startup Caterna, which had developed a digital therapy for children with the eye disease amblyopia. Together, they were able to conclude the world's first selective contract for an "app-on-prescription". This was not only an important milestone for digital transformation and innovation in healthcare but also gave birth to the idea of Flying Health - a company that gives wings to innovative solutions within the healthcare landscape.
2
2016
To support early-stage digital health startups on their way in the German healthcare market, the Flying Health Incubator is founded. Supported by its first partner companies such as Sana Kliniken AG, Flying Health starts to pursue its vision of Next Generation Healthcare.
3
2016
In the same year, Flying Health receives its grant from the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) to further develop its industry-in-clinic platform and extend its project and partner portfolio in the field of digital healthcare.
4
2019
The wave of digitization within the German healthcare landscape is picking up speed. The Digital Healthcare Act (DVG) passed in 2019 opens up new perspectives for a digital transformation of almost all stakeholders and industries. As the healthcare market evolves, so does Flying Health, maturing from an incubator into an ecosystem that reflects the diversity of the new healthcare market, including an extended service portfolio, new partnerships, and a female management team taking the lead of the company.
5
2022
After more than 150 projects and 50 successful partnerships, Flying Health is once again taking a look into the future: A strategic development opens up new service modules in the areas of consulting, membership and innovation studio for its partners. Additionally, Flying Health is expanding its focus are to include new future topics: As of now, the company supports its partners not only in the field of digitalization, but also in the areas of sustainability and demographics.
