Sanofi is a research-driven biopharmaceutical company that applies AI and is committed to improving people’s lives while pursuing responsible growth. With its Vaccines business unit, Sanofi places a clear focus on prevention. The company’s vaccines for children and adults contribute every day to preventing diseases and reducing the severity of infections across all age groups.
Yet every year, 1.5 million lives could be saved through higher vaccination rates. When it comes to seasonal influenza, there is significant catching up to do in Germany: with a flu vaccination rate of only 38% among people aged 60+, the country lags behind other European nations and falls far short of the WHO target of 75%.
As an innovative healthcare company, Sanofi has therefore set itself the goal of sustainably increasing vaccination rates together with partners. In line with an ecosystem approach, the company is actively seeking allies from both the private and public sectors to jointly create better vaccination infrastructure and more intuitive vaccination pathways for patients.
