It stands for orientation, transparency, and clear patient information. Its mission is to guide patients reliably through the healthcare landscape – neutral, independent, and free from commercial interests.
The foundation fulfills this mission in particular through www.arzt-auskunft.de – Germany’s most widely used physician search platform after Google and YouTube.
The Arzt-Auskunft brings together all key points of care within the healthcare system under one roof: physicians, dentists, psychological psychotherapists, healthcare professionals, pharmacies, and hospitals – providing a 360° view of the care landscape. It is based on a comprehensive structural directory covering around 800,000 healthcare providers. As an independent source of information, it strengthens the patient journey and contributes to a more efficient, patient-centered healthcare system.
In collaboration with partners, the foundation bundles expertise, connects stakeholders, and enhances its existing offerings with tools exactly where guidance is needed.
In addition, it develops tailored physician search solutions for websites, portals, and apps – used, for example, by nearly all major health insurers. This enables even more people to find suitable providers based on specific treatment focuses.
Furthermore, Stiftung Gesundheit certifies health-related publications and websites based on self-disclosure and annually honors outstanding quality journalism with its Publizistik Prize.
